So, you have finally bought your first vintage silk wrap skirt? You have worn it and are now too scared to wash it?
Don't be scared, lots of people find it quite daunting but if you follow these few simple steps you silk wrap will be fine:
Vintage silk wrap with NO embellishments or beading:
If your wrap is plain silk with no extras it can easily be machine washed on a gentle cycle.
Place your wrap in a pillow case or bra bag.
Do not bundle and keep wet for a long time.
In case of stains, wash with cold water immediately.
For stubborn stains get you may wish to have your Wrap dry cleaned.
If your wrap requires an iron, please do so on a VERY low heat setting. We recommend that you place a towel over your wrap and then iron to protect the delicate fabric.
Wraps WITH embellishments or beading:
Never machine-wash a Vintage Wrap, that has embellishments or beading.
This type of Silk Wrap should be either delicately hand washed or dry cleaned.
Do not bundle and keep wet for a long time.
In case of stains, wash with cold water immediately.
